Finance Manager | ACA | £55,000 - £65,000 + equity | Central MCR (2-3 days)
Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a VC backed SME based in central Manchester who are looking to recruit an ACA 1st or 2nd time mover to join their team. This business have experienced significant growth in the last couple of years, currently operating at £45m t/o with plans to achieve £60m in 2024.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join one of Europe’s most exciting scale-ups. Long term goal for the business is to eventually go through an IPO!

Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and analysing the group management accounts and weekly flash reporting including providing insightful commentary on financial performance
- Business partnering with key stakeholders such as Tech, HR teams to ensure they have the correct financial information needed for decision making and providing commercial analysis
- Managing the month end process to ensure the management accounts are produced accurately and on time
- Managing a team of 2 and ensuring the smooth running of the day to day finance function
- Creating and managing financial controls and processes to ensure the finance team is IPO ready and adding value to the business
- Assess and introduce financial systems to ensure that the finance team can operate as efficiently as possible and to allow non-finance colleagues to access finance support easily and reliably
- Involvement in project work and supporting the wider business on achieving it’s goals
- Supporting any financial due diligence requests
- Treasury Management including cashflow forecasting
- Producing multi-currency consolidated statutory accounts, reviewing Corporation tax returns and preparing the R&D claim
- Managing the audit process, preparing key working papers and ensuring financial reporting is in line with the latest accounting standards
- ACA-qualified accountant – ideally from an audit background
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge
- Deadline driven with excellent time management and attention to detail
- A positive attitude to work, with an ability to work at pace
