Are you a fully qualified ACA/ACCA Financial Accountant/Finance Manger looking for that next step up into a senior role, where you will have the opportunity to work autonomously managing a small team in a client facing, commercially focused finance role?

On top of that, you will be working for a high profile North Yorkshire success story.. a Harrogate based business that is continually growing both organically and through acquisition!

The role is varied and hands on encompassing client reporting and client contract requirements, as well as helping to support the business through its future growth.

The position will require strong technical skills, and an approach to continuous improvement and providing the highest level of internal and external customer service.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Director, the key duties will include:
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet lead schedules and cashflow forecasts.
  • Ensuring client contractual requirements are delivered and support with client annual statutory audits.
  • Review and approval of annual operating budgets before presentation.
  • Attending weekly Client meetings 
  • To ensure Standard operating procedures and controls are maintained at all-time.
  • Overseeing the team to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided both to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business partnering between Finance and other departments
  • To attend internal stakeholder meetings 
  • To ensure compliance with any statutory returns or accreditation requirements that arise.
  • Support on ad-hoc tasks and reporting.
  • To support and maintain best practice in regard to GDPR.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE will also be considered, with strong technical accounting experience and knowledge - Essential
  • Have an understanding of property management and/or service charge accounting - Desirable, not essential
  • Have experience of internal and external business partnering and client management - Essential
  • Be comfortable dealing with and reviewing contracts - Essential
