Responsibilities:
  • Support Groups finance team with existing divisions/brands' accounting
  • Maintain financial ownership, handle operational accounting, and oversee full financial forecasts and results
  • Take on new reporting for profit/cost centres
  • Provide financial support to regional offices/sites
  • Assist in the month-end finance report for the Board
  • Support external audit requirements
  • Produce individual company year-end statutory accounts
  • Aid in year-end statutory consolidation compliant with FRS101/IFRS
  • Integrate accounting systems for new business segments
  • Provide acquisition accounting support
  • Ensure compliance and assist in completing returns and other requirements
  • Specify accounting requirements for new developments
  • Assist in improving company processes to increase efficiency
  • Liaise with other departments and handle ad-hoc requests
  • Collaborate with existing team to support projects and internal audit requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Accounting qualification or in active pursuit (e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Commercial finance department experience
  • Proficient in month-end/year-end reporting with clear commentary
  • Business partnering and meaningful reporting experience
  • Statutory accounts preparation for senior review
  • External audit support
  • Process improvement experience
  • Intermediate (or higher) Excel skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Sage 200 and/or SAP/Access
  • M&A and integration process expertise
  • Budgeting experience
  • FRS101/IFRS knowledge
  • Takes ownership and maintains focus under pressure
  • Positive attitude
