Financial Accountant

Our client, are a forward thinking, acquisitive business based in Lancaster are looking for a ACCA/ACA qualified Financial Accountant to join their progressive team. This is a brand new role due to internal promotion, a very exciting time to join the team.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller and managing a small team, you will be responsible for the integrity of the financial information, ensuring compliance and ongoing improvement to controls and processes. The role is very varied and would suit someone with passion and commitment to their work.

Role:
- Manage, lead and develop staff in the Finance team.
- Manage and oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Key contact in the external audit process and to coordinate with the Finance team to achieve audit deliverables.
- Produce the statutory accounts.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Cashflow management.
- Responsible for direct and indirect tax, including quarterly VAT returns and production of corporation tax calculations and payments.
- Analysis of data to determine trends, risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Working closely with HODs.
- Business Partnering.
- Carrying out any other ad hoc tasks as required.
