Financial Accountant

Axon Moore are delighted to be exclusively partnering with an instantly recognisable and international FTSE 100 business near Bolton, to appoint a new Financial Accountant. The business are a well-established, global enterprise who are known for their innovative products!

You will provide subject matter expertise on accounting standards and how to apply them across the business. You will play a vital role in helping to drive continuous improvement in accounting and financial control and delivering statutory reporting across the business.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the UK controls, including the annual completion of the Financial Control Framework
• Providing support to international hubs and sharing best practice to ensure robust controls across the group
• VAT compliance processes and return preparation, covering UK and International VAT
• Responsible for completion of the entity year end statutory accounts
• Leading the annual corporation tax compliance work and preparing the tax submissions to group
• Identify process improvement opportunities
• Supporting period end reporting processes as necessary
• Ad hoc projects including improving controls, processes, implementation and potential acquisitions

The successful applicant will be an ambitious, pro-active qualified accountant either looking to make their first move from practice or have previous experience within a financial accounting environment with a broad knowledge of accounting standards and compliance. This individual will gain exceptional exposure and shadow and learn from a high calibre and supportive Financial Controller.
