This is a leading UK manufacturing company based in East Leeds, with multiple sites across the UK.
The business are now looking to hire a qualified and technically strong Financial Accountant, to join their Group finance function and report directly to the Head of Finance. The role will take lead responsibility for all the monthly reporting, and oversee a small team of 2-3 staff.
The offices are based in East Leeds, but the business is very flexible with hybrid working and flexible start/finish times.
**This role would be ideally suited to an ACA/ACCA Qualified accountant looking for their 2nd move from practice, or with relevant financial accounting experience within industry***

Key duties of this role will include:
- Monthly reporting of the business results to the parent company via Hyperion.
- To provide further information or analysis as required for Board review at Quarter ends and Year ends.
- Management and reconciliation of US GAAP accounting entries.
- VAT and duty accounting and reporting across the business.
- Management of the group's intercompany balances.
- Government reporting such as National Statistics.
- Preparation of the businesses corporation tax analysis as required by tax advisers to prepare the Corporation Tax returns on a timely basis.
- Cash & treasury management
- Preparation and review of monthly reconciliations
- Management of finance data for insurance renewals/finance liaison with insurance brokers.
- Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts
- Liaise with the internal and external auditors
The successful candidate will:
- Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - Essential
- Have experience within a relevant financial accounting role in industry - Essential
- Have experience of a multidivisional business or group structure - Desirable
- Have strong knowledge of Tax/VAT - Essential
- Have advanced excel and reporting skills - Essential
