Financial Controller | Manchester city centre | £50,000 - £60,000 | PE backed
Axon Moore are working with a PE backed financial services SME in their search for a hands on Financial Controller to join their team. The business have been established for 20 years and have ambitious plans to invest and scale up in the next 5 years.
Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for running the day to day function of the accounts team, overseeing a team of 3 direct reports.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for running the day to day function of the accounts team, overseeing a team of 3 direct reports.
Duties include:
- Preparation of the monthly Management Accounts & Board Pack including variance analysis and KPI trends
- Analytical review of P&L and Balance Sheet
- Preparation of group annual statutory accounts and consolidation
- Management of annual audits including statutory audits and SRA audit (Legal)
- Preparation of draft corporation tax computations for all group entities
- Support preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Keep up to date balance sheet reconciliations & report on risks and opportunities
- Management of the treasury function including daily cash flow forecasts
- Management of key external relationships such as bank and auditors
- Oversee purchase ledger function
- Become a go to person for any senior staff for financial information and support to improve the business partnering reputation of the team
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with good technical knowledge and management experience
- Excellent excel skills
- Good communication skills, written and verbal, to target person whether junior or senior, finance or non-finance
