Main Duties: 
  • Ensure the reliability and relevance of Reporting to provide the local Management, General Management and Group with the elements of analysis that are necessary for the control of the Company.
  • Responsible for the financial reporting for the business ensuring accurate data, which is fully analysed in line with budget and any ad-hoc requests.
  • Audit and financial controls
  • Support BU regarding commercial decision making, cost control and strategic planning.
  • Working with central finance and shared service centre to ensure transaction processing proceeds smoothly and error levels are reduced and eradicated.
  • Work with Country Management on business development and investment plans, budget and annual investment plans.
  • Ensuring the application of Group and local policies and procedures in the activities of the business
  • Deliver monthly results, reporting on significant deviations from budget
  • Deliver monthly report to Committee (results, significant events, deviations, functions progress and new actions to be implemented).
  • Prepare and monitor the operating budget, co-ordinating between the different Business Units.
  • Supervise and coordinate the processes of budgetary control and monitoring of action plans.
  • Monitor the annual investments reviewing process and progress.
  • Workforce planning for budget
  • Participate in and provide financial guidance in all significant revenue, cost and capex contracts
  • Be part of the Leadership Team, supporting and collaborating with functional departmental leaders to deliver key business objectives in volume growth, margin and cost control.
  • Supervise and coordinate the process of annual budget preparation
  • Monitor month end closure, budget controls and action plans
  • Complete the monthly reporting and presentation to the management team
  • Participate in the Strategic Plans and investment decisions
  • Control the company’s Annual Investment Plan (PAI) (contracts, amounts contracted) and carry out investment profitability studies
  • Work with SSC credit control team to analyse customer risk and make the necessary decisions in each case
  • Maintain adequate controls throughout business and work with Shared Service Centre to optimise reporting and reconciliation processes
  • Support analysis of customer profitability for plant managers, sales team and business development department.
  • Work with SSC to ensure co-ordination and continual improvement of transaction processes
  • Compliance with tax, labour, accounting regulations ensuring external audit requirements are met and operational balance sheet items reconciled monthly
  • Work in conjunction with Country Finance Director particularly where deviations arise.
  • Ensure compliance of internal regulations, particularly to satisfy Group Audit requirements
  • Supporting role for managing company insurance policies
  • Develop and implement training plans for the finance controlling team
  • Other duties as reasonably required from time to time
Person Specification:
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in similar role
  • Highly IT literate, particularly Excel and SAP
  • Leadership and role modelling
  • Strategic thinking
  • Ability to work to deadlines
