Axon Moore is partnering with a highly reputable and fast growing SME in the Preston area (Hybrid working) who are searching for an ambitious Financial Controller to join their high performing finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven candidate to develop under the guidance from a notable Finance Director whilst managing a strong finance team of three.  This is a highly visible and fast paced role and you will be key in supporting the successful delivery of the aspirational Financial Strategy over the next couple of years.

The business currently operates in the UK but is looking to expand into Europe and they have 25% growth forecasted year on year. A really exciting time to join!

The successful Financial Controller will be:
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Lead on key external relationships with key stakeholders, including external audit, payment processors and key suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control processes into business operations
  • Develop and implement cash strategies for managing third party funds
  • Set up corporate structure for foreign growth strategies
  • Review financial systems and implement changes required for growth
  • Manage internal controls of the business documenting the risks and associated policies
Person Specification: 
  • ACA/ACCA Qualified accountant (Ideally practice trained and looking for your 2nd move)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights
  • High attention to detail
