Financial Reporting Manager | Manchester city centre (Hybrid) | £50,000 - £60,000 | PE backed

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a PE backed, culture driven business in central Manchester who are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join their team. 

This is a great opportunity for an ACA qualified accountant looking to make their 1st move from audit/practice. You will have a high calibre ACA line manager to mentor and support your development, working alongside a vibrant culture-driven Finance team. Responsibilities include: 
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, along with variance analysis of all primary financial statements
  • Statutory Reporting – Preparation of the group’s statutory accounts ensuring these are filed inline with applicable accounting standards as required, including Companies Act and FRS 102, along with being the primary Audit contact to ensure these are filed on time
  • Regular reporting requirements, including but not limited to: internal reporting (leadership team) and external reporting (investors, banks, auditors, external stakeholders, HMRC, FCA, ONS)
  • Treasury – working with the wider business to maintain and enhance our treasury and working capital cycle
  • Controls - Ownership of robust Financial Controls along with their regular review and enhancement. Overall stewardship of purchase ledger and credit ledger processes, continually looking to identify process improvement
  • Budgetary control of fixed spend, liaising with cost owners around the business to identify efficiencies and alignment to strategic objectives
  • Investor Relations – working with the CFO and other senior leaders to develop and maintain relationships with investors, banks and lenders
  • Leadership – be an active member of the management team, driving improvement across the team from engagement to systems and processes along with leading, coaching and developing the Financial Reporting team
Ideal candidate:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with an audit/practice background 
  • Have the ability to work effectively with, and build strong internal relationships across teams from Graduates to CEO and Board level
  • Show the highest quality analytical and numeracy skills, demonstrating a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
