Job description

Axon Moore are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of an exciting and growing business based in Manchester City Centre. The company has grown through acquisition and organic growth and now comprise of 4 main divisions. They have created a new role to support their growth further and are now seeking to recruit an FP&A Analyst with previous experience to join the finance team on a permanent basis.

This role will work across the various business departments, reporting into the Group Financial Controller and Data Analytics Lead to provide comprehensive analysis, reporting and insight to support the senior management team with the running of the business. The ideal candidate will have a good level of experience within finance and data with advanced Excel skills as well as good commercial acumen. You will be using Power BI and SQL so experience in these are also preferred.

Salary and benefits:

Responsibilities include:
  • Report into the Group FC and Data Analytics team to provide full finance and commercial support to the business.
  • Creation and monthly update of MI packs to support the finance team with analysis on the P&L, cash flow and actuals vs. forecast.
  • Business partner with the various internal department, supporting BAU and projects.
  • Dotted line reporting into the Data Analytics team to support with wider business needs.
  • Utilising all business data to understand current performance across various departments to highlight and promote opportunities for growth and development.
  • Manipulate large data sets using SQL and cloud data warehouse.
  • Ad hoc reporting and BI insight as needed from the department leaders.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required by the finance team.
Experience & Skill Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar FP&A role is essential
  • Very comfortable dealing with high volumes of processes and data through Excel and in particular effective data manipulation
  • Experience working with Excel to an advanced level is essential
  • Experience working with BI tools, SQL and a Cloud Data Warehouse would be beneficial
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally, with a confidence and ability to business partner with SLT
  • Problem solving mindset, willing to find something out if you don’t already know
  • Planning and organisational skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
