Job description

This is a newly created, FP&A Manager position working for a high growth, forward thinking global Tech start-up with Head offices based in Leeds City Centre!

The business have grown significantly since they were founded 8 years ago, and have since launched two new divisions, doubled their headcount, and won multiple awards for their innovative and cutting edge approach.

As a result of their most recent growth trajectory, and further plans over the next 18 months, they are now looking to bring in an experienced FP&A Manager into a newly created role to work closely with the CFO and Financial Controller.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the financial performance and strategic decision-making of the company, in addition to managing the customer base. The role will include analysing financial data, developing forecasts and budgets, providing insights to senior management, and supporting business initiatives.


Reporting to the CFO the key duties of this role will include:

  • Conduct Variance Analysis for Month End.
  • Update Forecast
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Prepare and analyse Profit and Loss, statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic planning purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Review and check sales forecasts to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Review commercial proposals
  • Monitor sales trends & PO collections.
  • Issue invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Contract database management.
 
The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working in a senior or standalone FP&A role – Essential
  • Have previous, experience working in Tech, ideally in a startup or SME - Essential
  • Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant, but qualified by experience will also be considered – Essential
  • Have a good working knowledge of MS excel - Essential
