Job description

Axon Moore are partnering with a rapidly growing eCommerce business based in Manchester. My client is seeking a Graduate Commercial Analyst to join the accounts team on a permanent basis.

This would be the ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven individual looking for a busy, developmental role in a growing business. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in learning new skills in Excel, SQL and Power BI. CIMA study support is also on offer.

You will assist department leaders using data to guide focus and analyse costs and efficiencies.    

This role will have a broad remit that will be focused on but not limited to:
  • Business partnering with other departments to improve processes, reporting and reduce costs
  • Analysis on the feasibility of new sites
  • Ad hoc support of the property team such as identifying areas for new sites
  • Monitor business KPIs to ensure they’re being achieved
  • Completing ad hoc analysis pieces focused around minimising cost to the business due to transportation.
  • The business wide implementation and maintenance of an existing model to minimise transport costs to the business whilst maximising profit by taking vehicles to the best locations for sale.
  • Use data analysis to find methods of improving the efficiency of current methods of transportation of vehicles.
  • Use of Excel, SQL and Power BI for analysis and reporting
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and profit optimisation projects
Experience & Skill Requirements:
  • Degree in a highly numerate subject or similar with a 2:1 or above.
  • Strong numeracy skills along with excellent Excel skills
  • Interested in studying CIMA beneficial
  • Experience in collecting data from multiple sources, especially SQL
  • An enthusiastic and focused person with a positive attitude
  • A driven individual with the desire to learn and understand the business
  • Confident and approachable manner and able to converse with senior management
