Group Accountant | Manchester city centre (hybrid) | £50,000 - £55,000 + bonus | PE backed
We have exclusively partnered with an exceptionally exciting sports/e-commerce retailer in Manchester who have created a new role for an ACA/ACCA qualified 1st time mover from practice!
This SME business have recently received a substantial PE injection. On the back of this investment, they have aggressive plans to triple turnover to £100m+, opening up new sites in every major city across the globe and go through an IPO.

Responsibilities include:
- Production of accurate group consolidated monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statement) in line with deadlines
- Responsible for all monthly and ad-hoc reporting to Private Equity owners
- Working closely with the Finance Manager to support in building out robust processes; including banking, intercompany and VAT
- Responsible for maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations for all companies.
- Supporting in the preparation of statutory accounts in accordance with FRS102 and the main points of contact for external auditors.
- Working alongside the FP&A team on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Improve current group reporting, ensuring there is a defined process when new acquisitions are brought into the group and all relevant data is held centrally.
- Preparation of financial reports on a timely basis, providing accurate commentary and investigation into variances when required.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects e.g., new finance system being implemented this year.
- Assist with new acquisitions where needed and ensure their results can be consolidated into the group accounts.
- ACA/ACCA Qualified ideally a first time mover from practice
- Offer considerable experience in preparing and/or auditing statutory accounts
- Possess strong numeracy and analytical skills, supported by excellent technical skills.
