Axon Moore are partnering with an excellent well-known PLC in the Wigan area to recruit an ambitious, newly qualified Group Financial Accountant.
The business will offer fantastic support, training and on-going development for a bright and ambitious ACA / ACCA trained accountant who wishes to make a progressive first step into industry, under the mentorship of a high calibre Finance Manager. This role could provide an ambitious candidate with the experience and achievements that could enable them to enhance their career trajectory.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Preparation of month end journals and supporting schedules
- Produce monthly Group consolidation
- Review monthly balance sheets
- Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and Board papers
- Manage Group Fixed Asset register and Group Leases
- Responsibility for VAT Returns, HMRC returns and payments
- Assist in continuous improvements in Internal Controls and Financial Reporting
- Assist with Year End and Half Year audit, liaising with external auditors to support process
- Participate in the Capex and Treasury monthly Committees
- Ad hoc work as necessary
- Hybrid working – 2 days from the office and 3 from home
