Group Management Accountant | Wilmslow | Up to £40k | Hybrid | Study Support

Job Overview:

I am delighted to be working exclusively with a leading and very well-established healthcare provider based in South Manchester looking to add a Group Management Accountant to their team to support continued growth of the business.

Reporting into an experienced Financial Controller, this role will be varied and challenging providing great exposure and further development.
 
Alongside both technical and commercial exposure, this role also provides people management experience via the oversight of too junior staff members making it a strong CV builder.
 
The ideal candidate for this role will be part-qualified CIMA/ACCA with relevant experience.

Salary: Up to £40k DOE (with flex if needed)

Location: Manchester

Main Duties:

-         Responsible for 2 accounts assistants including review of work, monthly 1 to 1s, training and holiday and absence management.


-         Production of monthly management accounts, providing commentary against budget within tight deadlines.


-         Overseeing the sales ledger, purchase ledger and banking functions.


-         Ensuring month-end timetable is communicated and adhered to.


-         Posting and calculating prepayments and accruals.


-         Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate and post monthly depreciation.


-         Monthly intercompany reconciliation and postings.


-         Maintain working papers each month with complete balance sheet reconciliations.


-         Management of POR, agency, and petty cash process.


-         Debtor reporting.


-         Responsible for processing the internal monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees, including maintenance of the online rota system.


-         Payment of PAYE and pensions each month.


-         Calculation and posting of salary journals and monthly reconciliation of payroll.


-         Review and 1st authorising BACS runs, payments & payroll.


-         Assist in the external audit process.

Experience:


-         Sage 50 Accounts and Xero experience is desirable.


-         Multi-currency experience is desirable.


-         Payroll experience is desirable.


-         AAT qualified and studying towards CIMA/ACCA or degree holder studying towards CIMA/ACCA also considered


-         Excellent working proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.


-         Professional manner with clear communication skills.


-         Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
