Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a leading, newly PE-Backed Services business in Lancashire as they embark on the next phase of expansion.
As a result, they are now seeking an exceptional Head of Corporate Finance to play a pivotal role and spearhead their strategic growth initiatives in this newly created position.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the fund raising and project finance activities within the construction and energy sectors. You will be responsible for building and maintaining complex financial models used to assess and secure financing (both debt and equity) for various future projects.
Working closely with the PE partners and the CFO, your strategic insights and leadership will help to shape the future trajectory of the business.
Responsibilities:
• Development of the funding strategy, reporting directly to CFO and working closely with Chief Strategy Officer, and wider business leadership team.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models - Build new financial models from scratch for project finance transactions in the construction and energy sector, including development of integrated profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow and scenario based modelling.
• Analyse project financials, including capital expenditure, operating expenses, and revenue streams.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for stakeholders, including lenders, investors, and project sponsors.
• Develop financial forecasts and sensitivity analyses to assess project viability and risk profile looking at debt serviceability and leverage.
• Cash and funding - Develop and implement strategies to optimise working capital
• Assist capital raising activities, such as debt financing and equity issuance
• Translate contractual requirements into model inputs and assumptions.
• Clearly communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience/Skills:
• You will be ACA/ACCA Qualified with strong commercial understanding
• Corporate finance transactions and refinancing.
• Budget and operational management support.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial modelling software, Power BI, etc.
You will be a naturally charismatic, engaging, and forward-thinking leader, someone who is happy to manage the detail but also see the bigger picture, working with the SLT and Board to set the strategy for the business for the foreseeable future.
