The company is seeking an ambitious and driven Human Resources Manager with excellent communication skills, highly experienced in HR and the confidence to join a fast paced business and take control of the HR function for the business.
About the role
As the Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the HR department, this a broad role which will be very hands on and cover every aspect of HR work which includes HR guidance and advice to employees and managers, Implementing structure and executing HR strategy aligned with business goals, Implementing HR policies and procedures and establishing and enforcing controls, processes and systems improvements across the business.
Salary - £40,000 - £45,000
Location - Trafford

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Providing HR guidance and advice to employees and managers
- Implementing structure and executing HR strategy aligned with business goals
- Implementing HR policies and procedures
- Management of recruitment and selection process
- Coaching managers on employee performance management and involved in employee appraisals
- Identifying and coordinating training and incorporating the graduation scheme
- Managing employee life cycle
- Implementing wellbeing and engagement incentives
- Managing monthly payroll with external payroll provider
- Supporting managers in investigatory, disciplinary, grievance and appeal hearings
- Facilitating new starter onboarding process and exit interviews
- Assisting managers in managing short and long-term absence
- Producing and monitoring monthly HR KPI’s and metrics
- Monitoring HR budget
Person Specification
- Preferred experience in retail industry
- 3+ years’ experience working in HR
- CIPD qualified
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Able to easily build and maintain relationships
- A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, leading the HR function
- Able to work well under pressure and to changing priorities
- Experience working in a SME is desirable
- A friendly and approachable people person
