Interim Cost Accountant

Axon Moore are pleased to partner with a growing manufacturing business based in Burnley as they look to recruit and interim cost accountant on an initial 6 month contract. This role will work closely with experience finance director and financial controller to ensure accurately consolidation and strong explanations around variances

• Preparing a detailed monthly cost analysis and work with the team to develop accurate forecasts
• Validating and approving sales and purchase material prices and Purchase Orders
• Working closely with manufacturing operations to ensure accurate and timely capture of all production costs and effective analysis of production variances
• Supporting the finance team at each month end close, including posting monthly journal entries, completing account reconciliations
• Providing the cost accounting expertise for the manufacturing operations

The successful candidate will have a strong manufacturing background, will be qualified (CIMA/ACCA) or qualified by experience with a strong commercial finance viewpoint. Strong teamwork to join a stable and growing team.
