Job description

Axon Moore are currently recruiting for a business based in St Helens who are looking for an experienced Group Financial Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis for 3 months (Inside IR35) 

As Group Financial Accountant, your prime role will be to prepare the monthly MI pack, group consolidation and supporting monthly schedules in line with the group timetable to a high professional standard with due regard for the integrity and accuracy of the information prepared. Outside of the reporting schedule, the main focus of the role will be on maintaining and improving financial controls, taxation matters and treasury whilst supporting the CFO in an international dynamic PE backed group.

Responsibilities:
  • On time consolidation and preparation of monthly MI pack, Group accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Robust review of subsidiary management accounts and controls including reconciliations on all Group balance sheet accounts.
  • Weekly / daily cashflow analysis and review including second signature sign off on all payment runs.
  • Proactively and tightly manage the Group’s cash and working capital.
  • Control and analysis of all tangible and intangible capex
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts as required for the business.
  • Overhead management and control through review / management of functional budgets
  • Proactively drive tax initiatives in support of the Group’s CT Strategy.
  • Lead the audits and other tasks required for completion of the Group statutory accounts..
  • Support the Group CFO with company secretarial administration.
  • Manage and lead the group Insurance reviews / claims.
  • Manage, support and develop 3 x entity based accountants
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as advised by the CFO

  • Proactively resolve issues before they impact on the performance of the business.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Ideally experience with multi-currency consolidations
