Interim Financial Accountant

Axon Moore are pleased to partner with growing business as they look to recruit a Interim Financial Accountant for a 12 month contract based in Lancashire this role is crucial role with the financial accounting and reporting activities for the business

In this role you will take responsibility for financial information, preparation of financial statements and accounting & compliance tasks

Key responsibilities

• Support the production of monthly, quarterly and annual group financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop the group-level balance sheet reconciliations, including but not limited to external borrowings, and ensure their accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in the production of the monthly Group consolidation, working closely with other finance team members to gather and validate financial information.
• Contribute to various ad hoc financial reporting projects as and when required, providing support and analysis to facilitate decision-making processes.
• Support the management of the annual audit process, including preparing audit schedules, liaising with auditors, and addressing audit queries.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard financial data and ensure data integrity.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.

The successful candidate will be qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong general accounting, group accounting and IFRS experience. Strong excel skills would be beneficial for this role also.
