Interim Financial Controller

Axon Moore are pleased to partner with a fast growing business based in Blackburn as they look to recruit an interim financial controller. That will play an integral part in development of the function and continuous development of the team. The key focus of this role is to deliver the financial management duties including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation as well as improving internal control procedures

• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts from trial balance to financial statements.
• Responsible for the internal and external reporting process; including the management of audits across different entities
• Ensuring adherence to IFRS accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
• Continuous management and development of the team, motivating & inspiring them to achieve results
• Comparing actual performance to budget and prior year and articulate understanding of underlying business performance.
• Business partnering with key stakeholders.
• Supporting group related requests.
• Supporting the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to drive decision making for local teams.
• Overseeing the preparation statutory accounts and monthly Group pack submissions.
• Leading on finance system transformation processes.
• Managing integration of acquisitions into the Team.

The successful candidate will be qualified accountant (ACA,CIMA, ACCA) with a strong finance knowledge & experience. Strong communications and collaboration with senior stakeholders and teams
