Interim Management Accountant

Axon Moore are pleased to be partnering with a fast growing business based in Liverpool City centre as they look for extra support for the next 6 months. The Financial controller is looking for an interim management accountant who can take responsibility for the month end accounts and support the team.

Key responsibilities

• Responsibility for the month end accounts production.
• Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
• Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct, and differences investigated.
• Assist with providing explanations to Management on variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
• Review divisional compliance with accounting standards and Group accounting policies.
• Prepare statutory submissions for review for example relating to VAT, PAYE and P11Ds.
• Act as a point of contact for other members of the divisional finance teams and coordinate monthly deliverables to the Group finance function.
• Support the forecasting and budgeting process, providing information and analysis where required.

The successful candidate will be qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) however qualified by experience will be considered for this role also. A strong proven background in month end process and good communication skills are also key for this role.
