Job description

A rare opportunity for someone ACA/ACCA qualified with an audit/controls/compliance background to join a world leading technology business, with fantastic offices based in Leeds City Centre!

This is a newly created part time role, that will join a fast paced and growing finance function reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

The role is 22.5 hours per week, but the business are flexible with how these hours are worked, whether that be over 5 or 3 days - they are happy for this person to manage their own diary and work autonomously to get the hours/work done!

The hiring manager is also open to considering suitable part time candidates who are looking for 25-30 hours per week.

The business separate hybrid working with flexible start/finish times, and they only require this person to work in the office 1-2 days per week! Along with the flexibility they offer, the business also have an industry leading benefits package (details below).

*** The role would be ideally suited to an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years  experience in audit/compliance/controls in practice or industry now looking for a a role with reduced/flexible hours ***


The key duties of this role will include:
  • Review processes within the finance team (AP, AR, financial accounting function) and other relevant operational functions with a view to ensuring compliance with the relevant legislation
  • Document & review tax accounting processes including the establishment of suitable internal controls to mitigate non-compliance and ensure processes are scalable to business growth.
  • Full controls review, documentation & control weakness mitigation followed by regular IC walk through tests.
  • Financial management & reporting procedures - documentation of accounting policy procedures, formalisation of appropriate review and establishment of a robust internal control environment.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be fully qualified ACCA/ACA - Essential
  • Have a strong background in internal control & compliance with experience of implementing robust and workable IC procedures - Essential
  • Have experience of working in a fast paced environment and working to strict deadlines - Essential
  • Have great interpersonal skills, be able to work well within a team, and communicate effectively with non-finance internal stakeholders - Essential
