Manager with excellent communication skills, highly experienced in I.T and the confidence to join a fast paced business and take control of the I.T function for the business.
About the role
As the I.T Manager you will lead the IT business strategy and manage the effective day-to-day delivery of IT, delivering IT helpdesk and technical support. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating, planning and helping with computer related activities and be heavily involved with the finance to implement and streamline new systems in growing parts of the business. You will help determine the IT needs of the business with responsibilities to implement both software and hardware and to consolidate the business system needs.
Salary - £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

Location – Trafford
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and troubleshoot in house servers
- Support IT Projects, including the design of new IT systems and software
- Monitor performance of IT systems to determine cost and productivity levels, making recommendations where necessary
- Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture and processes
- Support all sites and resolve any issues
- Management and set up of new starters across the UK and globally
- Resolving on-site IT issues with the junior IT team
- Lead in the testing and evaluation of new system and software
- Participate in strategic planning related to ITs support of the business objectives, including overseeing the development and support of cloud-based applications
- Ensure that IT infrastructure conforms to all appropriate standards
- Be a key link to support our ecommerce infrastructure through our website
- Manage the IT security strategy, ensuring infrastructure is secure and compliant
- Manage day-to-day IT support via an in-house electronic ticketing system
- Project manage various IT developments
- Research and propose systems and initiatives to improve our systems and workflows, always with the view of improving efficiencies for our team
- Work closely with the Finance Director
Person Specification:
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Preferred experience in retail / ecommerce industry but not essential
- Knowledge and experience of using Data Protex ERP, Sage 200 and Shopify would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems and phone systems.
- Strong critical thinking and decision making skills
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
- Be proactive and self-motivated in driving improvement and change with a hands-on approach
- Successful candidates must demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for the role as well as their ability to show a long-term commitment
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with high attention to detail
- High level of competence with all Microsoft office software
- Understanding of Business Intelligence tools and SQL
- Led by the operational needs, always working with a view to improve efficiency
