Management Accountant | Manchester + Hybrid | £50,000 - £55,000 | PE backed
Axon Moore are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a PE backed services business in who have created a vacancy in their team for a Management Accountant, created on the back of recent PE investment and a number of acquisitions the business has made.
Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, you’ll prepare management accounts for a group of companies, including reporting on both gross profit and overhead performance and analysis to support both the executive team and the operational managing directors.
The scope of this role will grow over time as you develop your skills and experience but some of your key responsibilities include:

Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, you’ll prepare management accounts for a group of companies, including reporting on both gross profit and overhead performance and analysis to support both the executive team and the operational managing directors.
The scope of this role will grow over time as you develop your skills and experience but some of your key responsibilities include:
- Producing and being responsible for a variety of gross profit and overhead P&L cost centres and producing their monthly management accounts
- Reviewing and analysing both revenue and costs to support accuracy of accounts, including providing accurate commentary and investigation into variances
- Posting consolidated invoice journals/prepayments/accruals and various other month end journals
- Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
- Budgeting, forecasting and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
- VAT Returns
- Assisting and contributing with the Group’s annual audit
- Monthly meetings with the Exec team and P&L owners to discuss performance
- Integrate accounting in to group processes
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Attention to detail and enthusiasm to challenge and improve processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
- Competent Excel skills
