Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Central MCR (Hybrid) | £40,000 - £50,000 | PE backed 

Axon Moore are working with a highly ambitious, PE backed SME in Manchester who have created a new role in their team for a qualified Management Accountant to strengthen their team. This is an SME with a global reach, who are a market leader in their industry with plans to grow both organically and through acquisition. 

This is a value-added commercially focused role with future progression to Financial Controller. Reporting into a high calibre ACA qualified Finance Director, you will be responsible for: 

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis of any variances
• Completion of an established reporting pack
• Management of monthly ledger close, co-ordinating with other departments to ensure they are ready on time
• Business partnering with department heads to resolve anomalies and explain results
• Cost and margin analysis
• Overheads analysis
• Quarterly forecasting
• Balance sheet reconciliations and journals
• Supervision of WIP analysis
• Overseeing accruals and prepayments, accrued and deferred income transacting
• Implementation of stock count spot checks and other internal audit processes
• Ad-hoc support including reporting analysis and other special projects

Ideal candidate:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA newly or nearly qualified 
• Ability to communicate confidently with a variety of people across the business
• Driven individual with ambitions to become Financial Controller
