Axon Moore are working with a PE backed, market leading SME business based in Oldham to recruit a Qualified Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful company who are looking to bring in a dynamic part-qualified accountant.
The successful candidate will report to the Group Finance Director and have responsibility for the day-to-day transactional accounting responsibilities and the timely production of monthly management accounts for an overseas entity in the business. This is a very hands on, end-to-end role, including payroll and you will need to gain a clear understanding of the business in terms of adding value with BI and MI delivered from the data.

Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and delivering the month end accounts, P&L, Balance sheet fully reconciled, Cash Flow and developing and delivering functional leadership team requirements and business KPI's
- Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Preparation of the accruals and prepayments
- Posting journals
- Reconciliation of Credit card statement every month to ensure all costs are accurately recorded
- Population of monthly MI packs
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolution
- Daily, weekly, period banking
- Completion of annual Audit deliverables pack along with ongoing timely information requirements during audit process
- Payroll
- Providing support in a variety of financial projects
- Assist the Finance Director and FP&A with audit queries during year-end processes
- Continuously develop current processes and systems both as a team and individually
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant role
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified and active in their completion of the course
- Experience with Sage 300 and MS Dynamics will also prove useful.
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLookup/Pivot tables) are essential
- Good commercial awareness and able to influence at all levels
- Hands on and happy to encompass all financial elements within this role
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate accuracy and pay attention to detail
- Work in a mature, courteous and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills
