Job description

Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a growing business in Warrington who are looking for an ambitious part qualified or finalist Management Accountant. This is a unique opportunity for a forward- thinking individual to join the business at an exciting time.

Key Responsibilities:
  •  Responsible for all month end postings relating to salaries, commissions and bonuses
  •  Preparing variance analysis and commentary
  •  Reviewing and approving journals
  •  Conducting cost centre reviews with relevant department heads
  •  Prepare and post monthly payroll journals – including incentive accruals
  •  Balance sheet reconciliations of payroll, tax, pension and incentive control accounts
  •  Providing salary related analysis (headcount, overtime, expenses etc) to support the finance   business partners and wider stakeholders of the business
  •  Financial analysis/modelling to forecast the cost of pay and reward reviews
  •  Assisting with development and implementation of future incentive schemes and models
  •  Preparing regular reporting/analysis of progress against incentive schemes – use of Power BI tools
  •  Maintaining & updating the company incentive scheme population and ultimate payment files
  •  Assist in preparing budgets for all remuneration related cost categories
  •  Dealing with internal month end queries from managers and incentive scheme participants
  •  Journal review and approval for the assistant management accountants
  •  Mentoring junior members of the team
  •  Be able to demonstrate an understanding of both management and financial accounting
  •  Fully/ Part qualification or equivalent working towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  •  Experience working in a SME or large organisation
  •  Experience in the full month end process
  •  IT skills – Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  •  Self-motivated with a collaborative, team working approach
  •  Ability to demonstrate excellent administrative/organisational abilities and a keen eye for details   and accuracy
  •  Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  •  Able to work on own initiative.
  •  Experience working in a busy office
