Management Accountant | Retail | South MCR | £50k+£55k + bonus | PE Backed Retail
Job Overview:
Axon Moore are delighted to be working alongside a PE Backed, high growth retailer who are looking to bring in a high calibre Management Accountant into their team to support the ongoing growth of the business. Whilst this $500m t/o PE Backed retailer continuing to grow at an exciting rate, the organisation also prides itself on an excellent work life balance and a flexible environment. Offering 2 days a week working at home, this South Manchester based business is ideal for individuals looking for the next step toward a senior commercial position in finance.
This role will be an excellent step for a Management Accounts with 1-3 years post qualified experience, looking for step toward senior finance. The position will report directly in to the Head of Finance with succession planning in mind. The organisation continues to build on its already excellent performance, with a pipeline of future M&A. This will directly impact the role as further opportunities will be available to gain invaluable exposure to onboarding activities.
This role would be ideally suited to any individual currently working in a large, or SME Retailer, or omni-channel business setting, with proven experience of working in a Management Accounts setting.
Location: South Manchester
Salary: Up to £55,000
Benefits: Bonus, flexible working, hybrid working, 4% employer pension, 25 days annual leave
Responsibilities:
Management of one team member.
End to end management accountants.
Support the Finance Director and Commercial Accountant with ad-hoc commercial reporting.
Month end consolidation.
Support with the year end process when required.
VAT returns and Corporation Tax.
Support any onboarding requirements as the organisation continues it's M&A activity.
Oversee the outsourced Payroll function.
Person Specification:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA)
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience working within a Management Accountants/ Finance Manager role.
• Management Accounts experience is essential.
• High level of organisation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where systems are processes are continuing to be implemented.
