Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a very well-established, sector leading business based in Manchester City Centre to appoint a part-qualified Management Accountant. The business is PE backed, highly acquisitional and are growing!
Reporting to the Head of Management Accounts, you will be responsible for up to 5 separate entities, providing insightful information and analysis to enable the business to drive forward. We need a strong communicator, someone confident in their experience to spot opportunities for process improvement and adding value in a changing environment!
Salary and Benefits:
Salary £37,000 - £43,000 DOE, hybrid working is available, discretionary annual company bonus, up to 10% pension, 25 days holiday plus banks, plus your birthday off, development opportunities, city centre location with fantastic tram/train/bus links. What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts for 1 business entity with full P&L oversight, reviewing revenue and costs/overheads
- Providing commentary on and investigating variances
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting
- Monthly bank reconciliations and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.
- Posting prepayments/accruals
- Posting journals.
- VAT returns
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
- Reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure payroll information is collated, approved and all payments made including monthly payments are made to HMRC.
- Assisting with the annual audit.
- Other ad-hoc monthly reporting and financial analysis
- Preferably 2+ years’ experience in a similar Management Accounting role
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA part-qualified and an active studier
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be beneficial
- Intermediate level of competency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of the workings of a Finance team, including best practice and working to strict deadlines.
- Essential to have a common sense approach to dealing with problems.
- Proactive attitude to resolving issues
