Management Accountant | North Manchester  | 9 month MAT cover | £35,000 - £40,000 | High Growth Business


Axon Moore are proud to be exclusively partnered with a well- established, high growth business based in North Manchester, who require an experienced Management Accountant Assistant for some Maternity cover. This role would be well suited to an inquisitive, detail oriented, proactive individual who is QBE or studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA. This role is interviewing from 28th May with start date of 1st August for the 3 month handover period.


Job Duties

  • Recording journal entries, such as GL allocations, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, amortisation, VAT, insurance etc
  • Producing relevant reports to analysis the relevant cost for the different cost centres for the following periods month to month, year to date and etc
  • Intercompany transactions & ensuring they are agreed
  • Maintain Capex tracker, fixed asset addition and disposals register
  • Update subscription log and workings for accruals
  •  Bad debt provision
  •  Maintain Capex tracker, fixed asset addition and disposals register
  • Inventory reconciliation, stock provision movements, work in progress (WIP) and valuation report
  • FOL depreciation and IAS 38 intangibles posting
  • Review of AP and CM transactions, highlighting discrepancies to the relevant team of where the discrepancies are
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all allocated legal entities
  • Performing data validations to ensure completeness and accuracy of information between system interfaces
  • Completion of half year and year end accounts packs, with all necessary supporting documentation and analysis
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Registers · Review and analysis of service charge accounts that fall within the positions respective area’s
  • Support processing (likely to involve calculation and processing of the monthly recharge invoices) and reconciling of intercompany transactions and recharges
  • Suggesting and implementing process improvements
  • Assisting the rest of the core team as required
  • Support Finance manager ad hoc improvement projects
  • Any other duties as required
