Our client is a very well established organisation who require a Management Accountant to join the Finance department on a 15 month basis with every opportunity for it to go perm. This is a hybrid working role with flexible working hours to work around work life balance.
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
· Working in Management Accounts environment
· Working to strict reporting deadline
· Preparing, reviewing, analysing, interpreting and reporting financial statements
and management accounts
· Budgeting, forecasting and planning
· Project based assignments
Desirable:
· Management of and responsibility for direct reports
Knowledge - Essential:
· Awareness of the implications of inaccurate or erroneous accounting
transactions
· Understanding of UK and international financial reporting standards
Skills – Essential:
· Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel
· Motivated, task driven and well organised
· Commercially aware
· Effective and supportive team player
Desirable:
· SAP ERP accounting package
Qualifications & Training – Essential:
· ACA, ACCA or CIMA : Part-Qual/Qualified
- Prepare periodic financial statements and management accounts
- Generate and distribute monthly and quarterly reports from a variety of data
- sources.
- Involvement in planning and preparation of forecasts and budgets.
- Communicate financial and statistical information to managers within the business.
- Supply variance analysis and respond to queries from department and area managers.
- Control and reconciliation of various balance sheet and intercompany trading
- accounts.
- Monitoring and evaluating information systems and suggesting improvements where appropriate.
- Ad hoc projects as required.
- Deal with external auditors at year end planning and internal audits as necessary.
