Management Accountant | £35,000 - £40,000 + Study Support | Nelson | 6 month FTC | Exciting new project within a high-growth business
Axon Moore are proud to be working alongside a rapidly-growing organisation in Nelson as they embark on a new project looking into the business’ overheads, promotional spends and charge rebates.
This role will be well suited to candidates who are either qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA and are keen input their ideas for improvement. For this role, experience as an Assistant or a Management Accountant is essential.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collate, calculate, and report on customer rebates, royalties, and promotional activity.
- P&L control for marketing, prepare overhead analysis reports, and present to the marketing team monthly
- Update and manage the prepayments schedule
- Collate the board report information and update the supporting graphs and data
- Overhead reporting and analysis including monthly meetings with department heads to review any variances
- Calculation of bad debt and credit note provisions
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Process employee expenses claims
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and annual audit requirements
- Assist with the annual budget and monthly forecasting process
- Responsibility for office of national statistics reporting
- Provide cover for the Finance Manager in particular VAT returns, fixed assets, and cash management and control
- Working in collaboration with the Financial Controller develop the management accounts outputs to add greater insight and analysis
- Qualified or Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA
- Experience within the production and preparation of Management Accounts
- Excellent attention to detail
- Process-driven and able to effectively convey ideas for improvement
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience with complex reconciliations
- Well organised with good time management skills
- Proactive and inquisitive mindset
- Experience using Sage.
