Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a well-established business based in Manchester City Centre to appoint a Management Accountant, which is a key role in the maintenance and accuracy of their finance records. The business operates internationally and have a successful team behind them.
We are looking for an experienced, part-qualified Management Accountant to lead the production of the management accounts and ensure effective management and concise communication to both financial and non-financial management. This is an amazing opportunity to gain more experience and progress internally through development and promotion.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary up to £35,000 DOE, hybrid working 3 days in the office, 25 days holidays plus banks, pension, city centre location with fantastic tram/train/bus links, discretionary bonus, plus a huge list of other benefits are available.

What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries for the monthly Board report
- Ensuring spend is in line with budgets
- Assist in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting
- Report on company assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations
- Working with senior leadership team to enable them to make strategic decisions with the help of financial information
- Calculate monthly commissions for the Sales Team
- Ensure the management accounts are compliant with financial governance requirements
- Ensure that the Groups Business Standards are adhered to when reviewing placements, providing advice when required to external consultants
- Preferably 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- CIMA/ACCA part-qualified and an active studier
- Solid knowledge of the workings of a Finance team, including best practice and working to strict deadlines.
- Essential to have a common sense approach to dealing with problems.
- Enthusiastic attitude to resolving issues
- Ability to clearly express the issue and proposed solution when required in writing or verbally.
- Highly competent with Microsoft Excel and Word.
