Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a large, global brand who are looking to add a Management Accountant to their team. This award winning business keeps the customer at the heart of its business and they are continuing to grow, nearing £1bn t/o to date. This is fantastic support team to join with a fantastic culture.  

This role is working across the Group, ensuring the month end process is completed according to schedule and will be involved with the year-end accounts preparation and audit completion. The successful candidate will be a part-qualified, ACCA/CIMA accountant. You will be open to a breadth of exposure and have the opportunity to gain experience in a fast paced and exciting company that is restructuring and strengthening its finance team. You will be involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts alongside getting exposure to departmental and wider business projects.

Salary and benefits:

Responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of Monthly Reporting Packs including commentary and variance analysis on budgets vs actuals.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany reconciliations
  • Journals, prepayments and accruals.
  • Monthly reviews of the financial performance with key stakeholders
  • Manage and support audit queries alongside the senior team
  • Propose business improvement and efficiency initiatives as appropriate
  • Ensure that financial controls are consistently applied
  • Keeping up to date with accounting standards and compliance requirements, etc. across the processes
  • Any other duties that may be required
Experience & Skill Requirements:
  • 2+ years’ experience gained in a similar environment
  • Part-Qualified ACCA or CIMA
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Proven experience in working in a successful team
  • Proven experience of taking ownership and responsibility
  • Proven experience of working in a fast-paced, change-led environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Active participation in systems improvement/implementation programmes
