Job description

Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting a Payroll and Benefits Officer on behalf of a well-established and growing business with a Global outreach, based in Manchester City Centre. Offices are located in Europe, the US and Asia, with Finance based out of Manchester and London. This role is based full time in Manchester, however there will be travel to the London site required every other month.

The business will require the role to cover the payroll globally; all payrolls are completed monthly, with the exception of the US which is bi-monthly. The payroll processing is currently outsourced, so it involves collating all the information needed to send over to the payroll provider. The role will work closely with both Finance and HR.

Salary and benefits:

Salary £28-33k DOE plus study support for CIPP if required, 25 days holiday plus banks, 5% pension matched, Medical, Wellness allowance (Gym or subscriptions), hybrid working and flexible working hours (37.5 per week)

Responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with the HR and Finance teams to ensure the accurate completion of the global payroll
  • Liaise with HR to ensure employee payroll data is accurate, such as new starter documentation and those seeking SSP, SMP, SPP
  • Collate data for payroll and calculate and review it before sending to the outsourced payroll provider
  • Collate benefits data to be reviewed annually for the CFO and Managing Partners and include in P11Ds and equivalent reports.
  • Generate expenses reports of monthly benefits
  • Provide information on and resolve issues related to payroll and payslips
  • Make any manual calculations if necessary
  • Assist the people team with payroll, holiday, pension and benefits related queries
  • All benefits related administration and access to various platforms, such as dental and health insurers
  • Keep up to date on and communicate any changes to tax and payroll
  • Administrative assistance to the HR and Finance teams
Experience & Skill Requirements:
  • Previous payroll experience is essential
  • Experience in overseas payroll would be beneficial
  • Strong calculation skills and a competent user of Excel
  • Highly trustworthy and discreet with access to highly confidential information
  • Strong numerical aptitude, good time planning skills and attention to detail
  • A self-starter with excellent team work abilities, who works hard under pressure and is happy to go above and beyond in the role
  • Strong interpersonal skills – approachable and down to earth with good communication skills
