Overview:

Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting an expereinced Pricing Analyst for a PE backed, rapidly growing and highly ambitious international logistics business based in the UK.  The business provides services to worldwide retailers and since the business started trading mid-2022, it has already achieved £2m in revenue. They are working with a number of businesses and look to grow their portfolio of clients substantially. This is an extremely exciting time to join the business as they grow.

In this role you will support the Pricing Manager who is responsible for Client pricing and Commercial reviews for both Customers and Suppliers. As a new and growing business it is imperative that pricing, parcel routing and gross margin reporting is timely, accurate and insightful.

This role is for an analyst who will join the Commercial team, managed along with the Finance team by the Finance Director.   The key function of this team is to provide commercial and financial insight, support, management and control to help the business grow and achieve its goals.

Salary and benefits:

£35k - £40k per annum (dependent upon experience), 37.5 hours per week, fully remote working, 25 days holiday (plus statutory bank holidays), pension.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the Pricing Manager with Client pricing (incl. large client tenders). This involves analysing the proposal to evaluate its commercial viability.
  • Assisting with Budgeting and Forecasting volume and revenue.
  • Assisting with volume, revenue and detailed gross margin reporting (by client / destination).
  • Providing bespoke management information to colleagues throughout the month.
  • Performing pricing reviews, which involves processing a lot of information accurately, and working to a deadline.
  • Performing ad hoc analytical work which could involve: reporting on volume trends, analysing delivery efficiency, resolving queries, or calculating the financial impact of changing pricing or other contractual terms.
  • Assisting with the Supplier invoice reconciliation process.
Person Specification:
  • Qualified to degree level.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar Analyst position within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced with MS Excel, including Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Index Match etc.
  • Highly numerate/analytical mind-set with excellent organisation & attention to detail.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to interpret financial/logistical information.
  • Good organisation skills to be able to manage your workload effectively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal, confident in sharing ideas and best practice with non-finance colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
