Purchase Ledger Clerk | £19,000 - £22,000 | Preston + Hybrid | Fast-growing, PE-backed business | Great team and working culture

Axon Moore has exclusively partnered with an excellent company in Preston as they continue to expand their operations. This business has witnessed significant growth in recent years and, as such, are seeking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to their specialist team.

This role will be well suited to a proactive candidate who possesses exceptional organisational, numerical and computer skills, is able to communicate confidently and is driven by success. Ideally, the Purchase Ledger Clerk will have gained previous experience working within Accounts Payable roles prior to application, although, this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Accurately processing supplier invoices in line with the agreed payment terms.
  • Reconciling goods received notes to invoices received and purchase orders.
  • Filling, matching and coding invoices.
  • Inputting invoices onto system and filing for payment.
  • Resolving invoice queries with requesters and suppliers.
  • Raising of payments to suppliers.
  • Payment runs.
  • Processing staff expenses.
  • Month end procedures.
  • Other ad-hoc duties.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least one years’ experience in a similar role (preferred).
  • Experience of using Sage and Microsoft Excel.
  • Boast a tenacious, problem-solving attitude.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive, hard-working approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Well organised and self-motivated with an ability to prioritise and manage own time efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to travel to other offices when required.
  • Adaptable and flexible nature.
