Purchase Ledger Clerk | £24,000 – £25,000 + Study support | Blackburn + Hybrid | Supportive management team | Fantastic working culture

Axon Moore have partnered with a fantastic company in Blackburn which has witnessed significant growth in recent years and, as such, are seeking an assured Purchase Ledger Clerk who is able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

This role will be well suited to an experienced and personable candidate who possesses exceptional organisational, numerical and computer skills, is able to communicate confidently and is capable of building long-lasting working relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Reconciling and posting invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Processing credit notes
  • Review fortnightly payment runs
  • Escalations with Procurement team
  • Posting bank transactions daily to assist with cash forecasts
  • Monitor the shared mailboxes
  • Ensure POs approved and raised in a timely manner
  • Take responsibility for checking and obtaining VAT receipts for all transactions on the monthly credit card statements
  • Investigate any debit balances or aged balances on the ledger
Required Skills and Experience:
  • At least one years’ experience in a similar role
  • Boast a tenacious, problem-solving attitude.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive, hard-working approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Well organised and self-motivated with an ability to prioritise and manage own time efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
