Axon Moore are proud to be working alongside a fantastic business in Chorley in their search for an ambitious Purchase Ledger Supervisor looking to progress and add value to a business whilst taking ownership for the Accounts Payable processes.
This broad role also will assist with the preparation of the management accounts, hence this is a role well suited to candidates who have gained good exposure and are keen to develop their own skillset moving forward, both through studies and in-work mentorship.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Complete supervision of the Purchase Ledger processes
- Reconciliation of control accounts and payment proposals
- Key contact for centrally procured suppliers including resolution of supplier queries
- Identifying and implementing improvements to processes
- Reporting, monitoring and verification of utility expenditure
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting with the preparation of the quarterly management accounts in the form of accruals and prepayments
- At least 1 years’ experience within a similar role
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- MS Excel proficient (VLookups / Pivot tables)
- Able to work well as part of a team and on your own using initiative
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Experience of supervising a small team (desirable)
