Job description

Role: Sales Ledger Clerk – 6m FTC

Location: South Manchester

Pay: £24,000-£26,000 DOE

Due to growth and reorganisation in the team, we are looking to place a Sales Ledger Clerk into the Accounts Receivable team for a group of companies based in South Manchester. This role will work alongside credit controllers and credit risk team to ensure accurate maintenance of the sale ledger within a team of 12.

The role will be expected to last for 6 months and the candidate will be expected to be able to work 3 days from the office and 2 at home, with flexible start and finish times. Other benefits (after 3 months) include staff discount, bonus scheme, wellbeing allowance, 25 days holiday plus your birthday and bank holidays, pension.

Responsibilities include:
  • Matching and checking the self-billing process
  • Billing and raising invoices
  • Processing returns and credit notes for customers
  • Cash allocations
  • Working to strict deadlines
  • Liaising with all relevant departments internally to ensure a smooth sales ledger process
  • Dealing with  queries internally and externally
  • Assisting with reports and cash flow
  • Other sales related ad hoc duties
Experience/skills required:
  • Previous experience in a Sales Ledger role covering similar experience
  • Experience using multiple systems and Excel
  • Comfortable communicating with all levels in the business
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a close knit, wider team
  • Great attention to detail and able to multi-task
