Senior Accountant | £40,000 - £50,000 | Bolton | Fantastic team and culture | Rapidly-growing firm
Axon Moore have partnered with an up-and-coming accounting firm, based in Bolton, as they seek to bolster their team with the addition of a Senior Accountant of the back of a period of sustained growth for the business.
This is a fully office-based role so candidates must live within a commutable distance to Bolton. Moreover, as team-spirit and culture-fit is paramount to this business, candidates must be personable, confident and able to develop long-standing working relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Prepare and file annual accounts, tax returns, and VAT returns
- Provide accounting and tax advice to clients
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting regulations and legislation
- Supervise and train junior staff members
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Identify and propose business development opportunities
- Ad-hoc duties
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a small practice
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting regulations and legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of accounting software
