The role is an FP&A Lead for a well known and highly reputable brand in the North of England. Headquartered in Harrogate (the offices are easily accessible from Leeds and York by both train and car), the business have multiple sites across Yorkshire and the North West.

The role will take overall ownership and responsibility for the FP&A function of the business, overseeing two Finance Analyst's and reporting the the Head of Finance.

This is an area of the business that is focused on driving improvements and efficiency, as well as enhancing the reporting, analysis and data. So you will have the opportunity to utilise your commercial acumen and skills, add value and work autonomously, with the support of the senior leadership team.

This a varied role with a good mix of both management accounts, FP&A and business partnering - it will also give you the opportunity to develop and coach a small but growing team! 


Reporting to the Head of Finance, the key duties will include:
  • Lead, manage and develop a small team to provide high quality, accurate and timely financial analysis and information.
  • Oversee the preparation, analysis and reporting of periodic accounts 
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of budgets and forecasts and support the consolidation of overall position.
  • Business partner with Executive and management teams to gain a wider understanding of the business and to provide a greater understanding of general finance.
  • Manage the forecasting and reporting of income
  • Develop, deploy and maintain weekly finance tracking tools to enhance management information 
  • Liaise with the Group Reporting team to support the production of cash flow forecasts, intercompany accounting and statutory accounts.
  • Review balance sheet reconcilliations prepared by FP&A team.
  • Drive improvements to financial processes, controls, systems and technology to ensure that the finance function works as efficiently and effectively as possible.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be ACCA/CIMA Qualified - Essential
  • Have previous experience within a financial planning and analysis reporting role - Essential
  • Have the ability to work in a fast paced working environment leading, managing and developing a small team - Essential
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and engage wit stakeholders at all levels of the organisation - Essential
