Tax Accountant | Central Manchester | Technology | Up to £50,000

Axon Moore are once again working with a client that is continually operating at the forefront of their market globally as they continue to see excellent growth across various regions.
As part of the continued development of their Manchester based finance team, they are looking for a dedicated Tax Accountant to join a high calibre function that is looking to strength an already impressive outfit. Reporting directly to the Tax Manager, this role will have significant exposure across the business and will gain an excellent opportunity to pick up further responsibility and exposure.
Location: Central Manchester
Salary: £50,000
Benefits: 25 days annual leave + bank, 1 day paid leave for charitable work, flexible working, hybrid working (2 days in the office), 5% employer contribution
Responsibilities
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CTA),
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent Tax knowledge with experience working with large organisations.
• High level of organisation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where systems are processes are continuing to be implemented.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring timely and effective submission of tax returns and mandatory reports across the designated regions.
- Collaborating with accounting colleagues and external providers to prepare quarterly/year-end tax provisions and reconcile tax accounts.
- Supporting the Legal Entity Reporting function in tax accounting for statutory financial statements.
- Assisting in tax audit queries and responses.
- Facilitating the acquisition of tax certificates, completing returns, and monitoring withholding tax balances across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assisting the broader Tax function in identifying and researching tax planning opportunities.
- Developing and implementing tax-efficient transfer pricing policies and ensuring proper execution of supporting intercompany agreements.
- Supporting tax-efficient integration of acquisitions and reorganizations within the group.
- Identifying and documenting uncertain tax positions in compliance with appropriate reporting standards.
- Continuously identifying and driving process improvements across all tax-related aspects.
