Job Overview:

Axon Moore are partnering with an outstanding professional services firm who are looking to onboard a Trainee Legal Cashier into their already highly successful finance function. The client is looking for candidates with previous experience within a professional/corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all duties associated with the completion of property transactions
• Check completion packs produced by the legal departments to ensure that all elements of the transaction are accounted for correctly with supporting documentation and authorization where required.
• Deal with queries from and highlight issues to Fee Earners
• Monitor bank software to identify and process incoming funds
• Process Electronic payments on banking software
• Billing
• Entry of the above transactions onto the accounting system
• Bacs Payments
• Inter Account Transfers
• Banking
• Posting/Uploading Disbursements
• Cheque production
• Processing Nominal Invoices including
• Entry of Invoices on to the Purchase Ledger ensuring proper analysis and authorization
• Posting Direct Debits
• Dealing with Supplier Queries and statements
• Obtaining Copy Invoices where required
• Making payment runs and one-off payments as required
• Bank Reconciliations

Person Specification:

• Team player with good communication skills
• Knowledge of SRA accounts rules
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience of Proclaim Accounts and Case Management software would be preferable but not essential
