Axon Moore are working with a Global market leading retail company who are looking for an interim Financial Accountant to work at the Blackburn head office.
Our Finance Team is expanding and we have a new opportunity available for a Financial Accountant.
In this role you will be required to deal with monthly financial reporting ensuring controls and policies and processes are adhered to.

In this role you will be required to deal with monthly financial reporting ensuring controls and policies and processes are adhered to.
Duties:
- Weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, adhering to the reporting timetable.
- Complex, high volume balance sheet reconciliations.
- Business partnering the operational managers, providing financial support and queries on P&Ls.
- Variance and trend analysis by site, by brand.
- Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
- Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making for local teams.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting process.
- Develop robust processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately in line with Group requirements.
- Support in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
- Assisting in year-end statutory audit process.
- Working closely with operational manager to optimise performance, control cost and improve profitability.
- Investment Appraisal for future acquisition targets.
- Other ad hoc projects as required by CFO, Finance Director or Financial Controller.
- Fully qualified accountant
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience working within a finance function with high volume transactions
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team
- Multi-site experience either hospitality or retail would be an advantage
- SAP Experience also advantageous
