Financial Controller (Outside IR35) - Manchester based with regular UK wide travel (expensed)

We are excited to present a unique opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Financial Controller to join a high growth, highly acquisitive business. They have been consistently expanding through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, and are seeking a hands on Financial Controller to lead our finance department of a recently acquired subsidiary.

As the Financial Controller, you will assume a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the subsidiary while also integrating and streamlining its processes with our Head Office finance department.

You will be pivotal in driving the financial transformation necessary to align with growth objectives and optimise financial performance.

Duties:

Financial Leadership and Strategy:
• Provide visionary financial leadership by collaborating with the executive team to formulate and execute financial strategies in line with our growth ambitions.
• Utilise your expertise in financial analysis to drive insightful decision-making and guide our financial transformation efforts.

Operational Excellence and Restructuring:
• Lead the strategic restructuring of our business operations, leveraging your proficiency in financial processes and best practices.
• Streamline operations to enhance financial performance across the organisation, implementing robust financial controls.
• Implementing processes to improve working capital.

Complex Financial Management:
• Demonstrate your advanced financial acumen by effectively managing intricate financial data and ensuring the implementation of accurate financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and align financial practices with the organisation's objectives.

Accurate Reporting and Revenue Recognition:
• Guarantee precise and timely recognition of revenue in accordance with established accounting standards.
• Develop efficient mechanisms for revenue reporting, fostering transparency and providing valuable insights to our leadership team.

Stakeholder Engagement:
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, to deliver clear financial insights, strategic recommendations, and impactful presentations.
• Build strong relationships and establish trust through effective communication and collaboration.

Team Development:
• Mentor and develop a team of skilled finance professionals, cultivating a collaborative and motivated work environment.
• Foster professional growth and enhance the capabilities of your team through guidance and support.

Person Specification:

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA
• Experienced Financial Controller
• Hands on and happy to get stuck into the detail
• A successful track record within high-growth and acquisitive environments.
• Demonstrated ability in leading financial change initiatives and executing restructuring projects.

This role is based in Manchester, however there will be travel to various subsiduaries and over night stay, potentially 2 days per week, maybe more initially.
