Management Accountant | Urgent Requirement | Immediate Start | Circa £300 / £350 per day
Axon Moore are currently working with a leading PE backed business in the Stockport area who are undergoing a period of rapid change and transformation. They are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to deliver accurate and timely management reporting information to support the business and the PE company.
As Management Accountant you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts to strict reporting deadlines and maintaining the completeness and accuracy of the nominal ledger.
You will also ensure for a high volume of balance sheets reconciliations, ensuring the balance sheet is fully reconciled on a monthly.

Duties:
- Lead the preparation of the management accounts and related reporting to deliver accurate information on a timely basis in line with both local and Group requirements
- Perform month-end activities under tight reporting deadlines – proactively identify process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy of reporting
- Regularly review performance and apply thorough business understanding to identify, understand and explain variances to expectations, including product margin analysis
- Produce accurate and insightful reconciliations and ensure that reconciling items are appropriately actioned and closed
- Assist in the completion of the external audit work and internal delivery requests, producing informative analysis when required
- Develop strong working relationships with PE company stakeholders and a thorough understanding of group reporting requirements
- Qualified Accountant (may consider QBE / stopped studier)
- Experience of preparing management accounts
- Knowledge of stock based business advantageous
- Excellent Excel skills
- SAP experience desirable
- Strong stakeholder management background
