Finance Manager | Oldham | £40,000 - £50,000 | Long standing, well established business
Axon Moore are working with a manufacturing business that have been trading for over 100 years, that are seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis. Working closely with the CFO and General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of financial management for the company whilst taking ownership of 1 direct report.

Working closely with the CFO and General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of financial management for the company whilst taking ownership of 1 direct report.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for all financial operations of the company including reporting, invoicing, cash management, stock control, sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger and fixed assets
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Provide financial and commercial support to the General Manager
- Take control of stock management, recording and reporting
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting and ensure the integrity of the ledgers and associated systems.
- Ensure the nominal ledger is accurate and that key nominal ledger accounts are reconciled each month
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts
- Continuous monitoring and auditing of gross margins
- Ensure continuity of incoming supplies by ensuring that suppliers are paid to terms.
- Business partner with non-finance departments and identify ways in which you can help them better perform their functions – e.g. by supplying high quality information and reports; by improving systems etc
- Challenge and look to reduce costs in all areas
- Continuously work to improve systems across the business
- Work closely with the Financial Controller’s of the other group companies
- ACCA or CIMA qualified however part qualified/QBE would also be considered
- Product costing & stock management experience would be desirable, not essential
- A hands on approach – roll sleeves up and get out into the business to see what is really happening
- Motivated self-starter looking for longevity in a role
